MONITORING / CORRECTIVE ACTIONS:
Frequency: Monthly

Cooling Tower:

• If Dip Slide / HPC count >10,000cfu /ml then:
  • Check Biocide Pump and verify that it is operating.
  • Check Biocide container to verify that there is material in the container.
  • Check Automatic Controller to verify that it is on and correctly set.Start flushing tower immediately until pH of the tower water equals pH of the makeup water then, shut o make up and bleed off to and from the tower and add Chlorine / Bromine and circulate for 4 hours while maintaining 5 ppm of free Chlorine or Bromine Residual. Retest with Dip Slides
• If Conductivity levels are high (out of range) then:
  • Check Solenoid and Strainer to determine if they are plugged with Cottonwood or other contaminants.
  • Check Conductivity Controller to verify that the probe is clean and calibrated correctly.
  • Verify that power to the Controller is ON
  • Check Tower sump and inspect for contaminants.
• If water test limits are out of range then:
  • Check chemical pumps and adjust as required.
  • Check Controller and adjust if necessary.
  • Check testing reagents for “USE BY DATE” to see if they are outdated.
